BEACH RESTORATION
After the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, SRW became an integral part of the team that redesigned the NY Park Department’s buildings located on the beaches in Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. The design team achieved new standards of resiliency for future storms while meeting the needs of the public and staff of the Parks Department. The design also required quick completion in order to reopen the beaches the summer following the storm.
